1. Make Binding

How fantastic to use 108” or even 120” wide fabric for your binding?!
You have long pieces to sew on with fewer seams to give you problems at the corners of your quilt.

2. Piece a Duvet Cover

Have a plain duvet laying around? Take 2 pieces of your favourite wideback fabric and make a duvet cover with lovely snaps or ribbons at one end.

4. Make a Table Cloth

Measure your table.
Cut your fabric to the width you need, and sew a fancy finishing stitch around the outside: VOILA - you have a fancy-pants table cloth.

Is your dining room table longer than most?
Quilt a table runner with the custom measurements for your table.
An even better idea for day-to-day use is to have your longarmer (or do it yourself on your domestic machine) quilt 2 pieces together and add an elastic around the outside so the ‘quilt’ will fit on your table for everyday use. The best part? You have just created a reversible tablecloth!

9. Use for Piecing!

Tired of the price of yardage? Wideback fabric comes in at a very economical price point AND it is often the same design as much of the yardage sold. FYI: 1/4 meter of wideback fabric goes a long way. There are 1080 sq inches in 1/4 meter of 108” wideback!!

10. Bedskirt

So pretty and so many colour choices! Add a bedskirt to any boxspring to compliment your room decor and quilt top! A bed skirt helps hide away the dust bunnies and those unsightly legs!
