Get ready to bring your creativity into the Christmas spirit with our Merry & Bright Pillow Workshop—a fabulous and fun sewing day perfect for confident beginners!

Led by Sharla, this class will guide you through the steps to create a charming and beautiful Christmas pillow using 32 mini charms. The finished pillow is approximately 12" X 16" and includes a cozy envelope-style back closure—yes, we’re making the whole thing from start to finish!

🧵 Skill Level:
This is a beginner-friendly class. You should be comfortable using your sewing machine and have basic sewing knowledge. A small amount of hand stitching is required for the wording!

This class is for absolute beginners with no experience, but it’s also great if you're looking to grow your skills with a fun and satisfying project.

☕ Feel free to bring snacks or a light lunch to keep you energized throughout the day!

🧰 What to Bring:

• Sewing machine (in good working order) & foot pedal

• Zig zag foot

• Thread (to match your fabric), pins, rotary cutter, scissors/snips

• Hand sewing needles for embroidery floss

• Small pressing board and/or iron (if you have one—1 classroom station will be available but bringing your own will speed up your efficiency)

• Small cutting mat 

• Note: You may not finish your pillow during class, but you'll go home with all the skills and materials needed to complete it confidently!

Skill Level: Confident Beginner / Intermediate Quilter (must be comfortable operating your sewing machine)

🌺 Bring your creativity into full bloom!
Join us for a fun and inspiring day of sewing and quilting as we create a bold and beautiful Poppies! Wall Hanging. This eye-catching project features pieced and appliqued petals that create stunning poppy flowers—perfect for dressing up your wall or gifting to someone special.

Under Sharla’s guidance, you’ll learn how to quilt on your domestic machine, cut, stitch, and assemble your poppies into a vibrant 18.5" x 41" wall hanging.

Make your own beautiful wall hanging to display with pride this Remembrance Day 

Each kit includes the pattern and all of the fabric, batting, and fusible required for your wall hanging. Fabrics provided for class will not be the exact same as shown in the samples.

🧵 What’s Included:

✔️ Over 3 metres of fabric (petals, background, binding AND backing)
✔️ Batting & Fusible Webbing
✔️ Printed instructions & in-class guidance
 

🧰 What to Bring:

• Sewing machine (good working order) + foot pedal

• Zig zag foot (mandatory)

• Free motion foot and/or stitch in the ditch foot (if you have them)

• Coordinating thread, pins, rotary cutter, cutting mat, scissors/snips

• Small pressing board and/or iron (recommended – classroom stations provided. Having your own pressing board will speed up your efficiency)
• ☕ Bring a light lunch or snacks to keep your energy up!

   

⚠️ You may not finish your wall hanging during class, but you’ll head home with the confidence, skills, and materials to complete it with ease.
