Imagine a gorgeous whole-cloth background, beautiful fabric combinations, and playful appliquéd circles that bring your quilt to life!

The featured design combines a beautiful whole-cloth background with Happy Circles to create a quilt full of colour, character, and personality.

Over our two days together, Sharla will guide you through the process of creating your own custom quilt top, including:

The original pattern makes a 60” × 78” quilt, but you can determine the size!

🧰 What to Bring

Gather your sewing supplies and get ready to create!

Fabric requirements (based on 44" wide fabric)

• Fat quarters OR ½ metre each of coordinating fabrics (Sharla used 8 different fabrics for her circles)

Instructor's tip: You can use the same fabric for all your circles or use a variety!!!! The choice is up to you 😊

Sewing essentials:

• Sewing machine in good working order, including foot pedal and bobbins
• Thread, pins, and scissors or snips
• Rotary cutter and cutting mat (communal supplies are available)
• Iron and pressing board (these will help speed up your progress!)
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge for your sewing machine

This class is ideal for beginners who are comfortable using their sewing machine and have some basic sewing experience.

You don't need to be an appliqué expert — that's what we're here for!

A little note about finishing: This is a two-day class, and we're aiming to complete your quilt top during our time together. If you don't quite finish, you'll still head home with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to complete it yourself.
